Shipments are made via courier (FedEx, DHL, TNT, UPS, InPost, Mondial Relais) based on the country of destination and/or the choice of courier in the case of shipments to Europe (not Italy). Shipping costs and times vary depending on the country of destination. At the time of shipment of the shipment, the choice of courier may vary.

As required by the laws regulating trade, all URBANSTAROMA.COM shipments to non-European countries are accompanied by an official invoice declaring the value of the individual items in Euros and the free export document. Customers who require particular import documents for customs relief (e.g. FTA for imports from South Korea) must make a special request for such documentation by writing to the address shopmanager@urbanstaroma.com. For items on sale, the invoice shows the discounted amounts.

Shipping costs for destinations outside the EU do not include customs costs which, if applicable, will always be paid by the recipient. These costs are quantified by the individual importing country directly to the customer at the time of collection of the goods.

All shipments will be traceable via a code provided when managing the shipment of goods via email.

Delivery times and costs

Italy (24-48h)

 

Shipments within Italian territory will be managed via UPS courier or delivery service at InPost collection points. The shipping cost in Italy is free for orders over 150 euros by selecting the InPost service, below this amount the additional cost will be 3.8 euros. if the customer wishes to receive the package directly at home, the service used will be the UPS courier whose cost varies for each destination and is calculated directly at checkout. Once the spending threshold of 200 euros has been exceeded, all shipping services will be free, the customer will only choose which one to use.

For the national territory, delivery times are between 24-48 hours from the moment the package is picked up by the courier. Order preparation may take up to 48 hours before shipping.

Any delays in delivery, once the package has been entrusted to the courier, are not our responsibility. In addition to the shipping methods via courier, it is possible to select free in-store collection at our office. The products can be collected from the working day following the order at the store in via Enrico Fermi 91-93, 00146 Rome (Italy), upon receipt of the notification of the possibility of collection which will be sent via email to the same address entered at the time of ordering. order.

Europa (48-96h)

 

Orders destined for European countries (not Italy) can be shipped either with Express courier (delivery within 48 hours) or with Standard service (48-96 hours) or at collection points (service served by Mondial Relais available only in some European countries).

The shipping cost for the Standard service varies depending on the volume of goods purchased and the country of destination and is calculated directly at checkout. Standard shipping is free starting from a purchase of 200 euros including taxes. The shipping cost if you select Express service will vary based on the country of destination and will be visible at the time of checkout. If you select the Express service, there is no minimum spending threshold to guarantee free shipping. In the event of the package remaining in storage after the second delivery attempt and/or failure to promptly respond to our requests for a change of address or correction by the customer, Urbanstar will automatically initiate a return procedure.

World Extra EU (2-10 days)

 

Shipments to non-EU countries are managed via DHL/FedEx courier or EMS international postal shipping in case of remote locations or out of reach of the couriers. Shipping costs vary based on the country of destination and are visible at checkout. Shipping costs to countries outside the European Community do not include any duties or customs clearance costs which remain entirely the responsibility of the recipient. In the event of the package remaining in storage after the second delivery attempt and/or failure to timely respond to our requests for a change of address or correction by the customer, Urbanstar will automatically initiate a return procedure.

In case of return of the package due to refusal by the recipient, the shipment will be forwarded to the sender and the return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund of the total order. In the case of orders outside the EU, customs fees for import will also be deducted from the total to be refunded.

Shipments to the UK - New Brexit rules

Due to Brexit, from 1 January 2021 the United Kingdom is considered a non-European country. UK customers will be able to shop on our website as usual with the following changes:

1- purchase of products with a value <£135:

the final price of the product already includes 20% VAT. At the time of importation the customer will not have to pay any customs duty or VAT to the courier. At the time of shipment, for customs purposes, the package will be accompanied by an invoice with Italian VAT number. The customer can also receive the UK VAT invoice via email upon request.

2- purchase of products with a value > £135:

the final price of the product already includes 20% VAT. At the time of importation the customer will have to pay the customs duties due but not the VAT, which is already paid at the time of purchasing the product. At the time of shipment, for customs purposes, the package will be accompanied by an invoice with Italian VAT number. The customer can also receive the UK VAT invoice via email upon request.

3- Northern Ireland

Shipments to Northern Ireland will not be affected by these above rules as parcels will not be handled via customs service

 

PACKAGE DAMAGED ON DELIVERY

Urbanstar does not take responsibility for a package damaged by the courier during the delivery journey. Upon delivery of the package, the customer is required to check that the packaging is in optimal condition and not damaged during transport. If obvious external injuries are detected, the customer is asked NOT to accept the package from the courier. Otherwise, if the package is collected and the goods inside have been damaged, Urbanstar will not be able to proceed with a full refund.

 

DELAYS, LOST PACKAGES AND SIGNATURE DISAGREEMENTS

Once the courier collects the package from our office, responsibility for delivery passes to the courier himself. In case of delays in delivery, the courier is responsible for the delay itself.

If the customer receives confirmation of the parcel delivered with signed proof of delivery, Urbanstar refers responsibility for the damage to the courier, therefore a research investigation must be initiated, with the collaboration of the customer, which could end with a declaration for signature disavowal. Claims processing times can take up to 30 days. Once the procedure is concluded with the admission of loss of the package and/or theft, the customer receives a refund equal to the total amount of the order.

Some couriers may leave the package in a secure area adjacent to the recipient's home door and attach a photo of the delivered packages to the proof of delivery. In the case of photo proof of delivery, Urbanstar does not assume responsibility for packages considered undelivered or stolen. If the customer finds himself in the situation described, he will have to open a direct complaint with UPS and/or file a theft report with the relevant local authorities.
